We also ask you to put Pets of the Homeless in your heart this Valentine’s Day.
To think about pets of the homeless, we remember they are without a home and go where the homeless go. They can’t speak for themselves to say they’re hungry, thirsty or need a comfortable place to lie down.
Pets of the Homeless volunteers make every effort to find places willing to become a collection site for donated pet food & supplies. Any willing business, church, veterinarian’s office, etc. can become a collection site where pet food and supplies can be dropped off.
Volunteers at distribution centers repackage pet food into gallon or quart plastic bags because they are easier for the homeless to take with them.
Any willing soup kitchen, thrift store, homeless shelter or place where the homeless congregate can become a Distribution Center. This is where the pet food & supplies are given to the homeless with pets.
Local, volunteer veterinarians are an essential part of the Pets of the Homeless organization. They volunteer their time to vaccinate, spay/neuter, and treat pets of the homeless. Generous donors make our grant program possible. Grants helps defray some of the costs of providing these services.
Sincerely,
Founder
