First Glimpse of Humanity for Taiji Dolphin Massacre

I am so excited! For the first time, The Japan Times, ran an editorial that stated, simply, “The dolphin hunt is an inhumane practice that should be stopped.”

This brings new awareness to the Taji Dolphin Hunt, or slaughter would be more accurate, in which roughly 900 dolphins are killed annually in the tiny fishing village.

There was an Oscar-winning documentary made in 2009, The Cove, that showed these poor dolphins demise, turning the water red with total disregard for these beautiful creatures. Many of the dolphins were left to suffer a long time before they drew their last breath.
